At No.1 we are looking for General Assistants to join our friendly team in both our fast paced and busy downstairs and upstairs restaurants and Takeaway.

In this role you'll work as part of our team, taking orders, serving food and drink, cleaning tables and handling cash in the restaurants.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Meeting & greeting guests in courteous & polite manner.
  • Seating guests.
  • Taking orders from customers and noting any special requirements.
  • Inputting of order into the till system.
  • Delivery of dishes to guests table.
  • Handling of payment of bill.
  • Cleaning down tables.

Sous Chef


No.1 Cromer is looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join our award winning team.

Joining a team that has already been awarded 1 AA.

Rosette for culinary excellence, the Good Food Awards Blue Ribbon for delicious dishes 2 years running and been listed in the Hardens Guide 2023 for very high quality food, you will have a passion for cooking with seafood and fresh local ingredients and be ready to work closely with and learn from our Head Chef.

Running the kitchen's in the Head Chefs absence, assisting with menu planning, ordering and creating your own special dishes are just a few of the responsibilities you will have in this exciting role.

The ideal candidate must be creative, able to work under pressure and able to use their skill and experience to help train and develop the kitchen team.

Must be prepared to work evenings, weekends and public/school holidays.Great rates of pay, hourly paid overtime, 28 days holiday a year and equal share of all tips.

FOH Managers


No.1 is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant and friendly management team. The role will see you leading shifts in either of our Restaurants with your ultimate goal to make each guests stay unique and to keep customer satisfaction high at all times. Candidates must be hard working, energetic, perform well under pressure and have experience of a busy Restaurant environment.

Working with a young and enthusiastic team this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress in their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Being the face and host of the Restaurant.
  • Leading and developing staff during shift.
  • Taking daily meetings and briefings.
  • Taking part in Managers meetings and working closely with other departments.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation.
  • Ordering stock and supplies.
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints.

Fryer


As a fish & chip fryer you will be responsible at all times for the staff you are working with and be responsible for frying and cooking and also maintaining high standards of food quality, store cleanliness and front counter organisation. Whilst frying experience is preferred full training will be provided to the right candidates.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to be alert and display competency in an organised manner all whilst working in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of food safety practices and procedures are preferred. Cleanliness is vital.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter you are essential to the day to day functioning of our busy Kitchens. Your main focus is to keep all utensils, crockery, cooking equipment and catering areas clean and up to the high standard expected.

To assist with the preparation of food, this includes potatoes and fish

This is a fantastic entry level position to develop your skills further within a busy kitchen environment and catering team.

Experience:

Previous experience in a catering operation is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Standards driven, with a focus on cleanliness, quality and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure to specific time frames and meeting deadlines set.

Excellent rates of pay. Wage dependant on age and experience.
